The September Hustle
September has that funny mix of back-to-school bustle, darker evenings, and – yes – shops already shouting Christmas at us.
Add in city roadworks that seem to multiply overnight, and it’s no wonder our nervous systems start buzzing. If you’re coming to a session, do check the directions I send – because I’d much rather you arrive calm and ready than stressed from chasing satnav reroutes.
This month’s update is all about deep breaths, extra minutes, and grace for yourself – let’s get into it!
How To Prevent Overwelm
When life feels like it’s moving too fast, these little practices can bring you back to centre:
⏯️ Pause before reacting – three deep breaths can save you from a snap decision.
🧠 Brain dump your thoughts – get them out of your head and onto paper.
🙍🏼♀️Set micro-boundaries – protect your time and energy, gently but firmly.
👏🏽Celebrate small wins – yes, making the bed does count.
🫧Schedule “you time” – even 10 minutes of rest, ritual, or sound healing matters.
🗣️Ask for help – you don’t have to carry everything alone.
