20 years at The Lowry. 22 years of colon hydrotherapy. 25 years of The Lowry.
And when I stop and think about that, I realise just how extraordinary the journey has been.
Twenty years ago, I could never have imagined that this would be where life would lead me.
My career began in marketing and sales within the brewing and food industry — tinned fish, corned beef and a world that couldn’t feel further away from the work I do today!
Then life had other plans.
A bout of Salmonella became a turning point for me. It changed my relationship with my own health and began a much deeper journey of exploration and healing.
Becoming a mum added another layer to that journey — and gradually I found myself being drawn towards the body, digestion, wellbeing and the connection between our physical and emotional selves.
Colon hydrotherapy was the beginning.
Over the years, that path naturally opened into sound healing and shamanic practices, and into a much more holistic way of understanding ourselves and our wellbeing.
22 years later, I’m still learning. Still listening. Still evolving.
And for 20 of those years, I’ve had the privilege of welcoming people into my little corner of The Lowry.
It feels particularly special that this year The Lowry celebrates 25 years too.
So many memories are held within these walls.
So many people.
So many stories.
There have been:
- Tears and laughter,
- Difficult chapters and new beginnings,
- Quiet conversations and moments of deep connection.
And I want to say something that perhaps I don’t say often enough…
Thank you.
- Thank you to every client who has trusted me over these 22 years.
- Thank you to those who have been coming for years, those who have only recently found me, and those who have recommended me to someone they love.
- Thank you for allowing me into a small part of your lives.
You have supported my work, but you’ve also shaped it.
You’ve taught me about courage, vulnerability, resilience, motherhood, health, loss, joy, change and, above all, the incredible complexity of being human.
I feel so grateful that a difficult chapter in my own health journey ultimately led me here.
What started as a change in direction became a vocation.
And what I once thought was simply a career has become a deeply personal journey of connection, learning and service.
My work may have evolved over the years, but the intention at its heart remains the same:
- To create a space that feels safe.
- To listen without judgement.
- To nurture.
- To honour each person’s individual journey.
- And to work with honesty, integrity and love.
- So here’s to 22 years of colon hydrotherapy.
- Here’s to 20 beautiful years at The Lowry.
- Here’s to 25 years of The Lowry itself.
- And here’s to every wonderful person who has crossed my path along the way.
I wouldn’t be here without you.
