Hey, lovely humans,
So here we areβ¦ August – that weird in-between time where weβre juggling school holidays, suspiciously undercooked BBQs, last-minute holidays, and the creeping realisation that September is coming. And dare I say itβ¦ the C word? (No, not that one – the sparkly, tinsel-covered, slightly panic-inducing one: Christmas. Yep. Already.)
In between all of that, Iβve been hearing from a lot of you about skinny jabs (Mounjaro, Ozempic and the like) – how theyβre helping, and how your guts are feeling a little backed up and bloated.
So this monthβs blog is a loving, honest chat about what these meds are doing to your bowels, and how a little colon hydrotherapy might just be your new best friend. No shame. No fluff. Just real talk and relief.

Navigating the effects of “skinny jabs” on gut health
Over the last few years, Mounjaro (tirzepatide) and Ozempic (semaglutide) have changed the landscape for people looking to manage type 2 diabetes or support weight loss. The benefits are clear: reduced appetite, improved insulin sensitivity, sustainable weight loss, and in many cases, a sense of renewed control over oneβs body.
But anyone whoβs been on these medications knows, they come with side effects. And the gut often takes the hit. Letβs talk about it.
The bowel side of things
Nausea, constipation, diarrhoea, bloating, and that all-too-familiar βoffβ feeling in your stomachβ¦ these are some of the most common side effects of GLP-1 receptor agonists like Mounjaro and Ozempic. For many, it can feel like your digestive system suddenly has a mind of its own.
This isnβt just an inconvenience – it can genuinely impact your quality of life. Itβs hard to show up as your best self when your gut is in knots or youβre perpetually uncomfortable. And yet, because these medications are so effective at what they do, many people choose to stay the course and just βdeal with it.β You donβt have to just deal!

Your Gut Deserves Support
Thereβs no shame in needing a little extra help to feel good in your body while youβre on this journey. And this is where colon hydrotherapy can gently come in.
Now before you roll your eyes or feel unsure, letβs ground this in honesty: colon hydrotherapy isnβt a magic fix, and itβs not for everyone. But for many people, especially those experiencing ongoing bloating or constipation from these medications, it can be a supportive and relieving part of their routine.
Colon hydrotherapy, done safely and professionally, can help the body release whatβs stuck – literally and energetically. When the bowels are backed up, the whole system can feel sluggish, anxious, and toxic.
Releasing that pressure can bring clarity, ease, and a surprising sense of calm. Many of my clients report feeling lighter, not just physically, but emotionally too.
The Bigger Picture
At its core, this isnβt just about digestion. Itβs about honouring the whole body through change. If youβre on Mounjaro or Ozempic, youβre likely on a powerful and personal path. Maybe for the first time in a long time, youβre feeling momentum. Youβre reclaiming your health. And that deserves all the support you can give yourself.
That support can look like nourishing food, slow walks, breathwork, sleep – and yes, sometimes a little colon care.
